Until I am a baller f’real I am forced to suppress my inner sneaker freak, but Pete’s tweet this morning sent me clicking after my favorite new/vintage basketball sneaks, and sad to say, I rarely see a women’s basketball shoe I like. They’re all extremes, bluntly macho or effete and girly. Men’s basketball sneaks, on the other hand, are all about aesthetic diversity. I mean, look at these throwback Mutombos. Unisex hotness.
