Misogyny Mélange

Recently the popular Twitter account @NotBillWalton sent out this classic misogynist turd to thousands of followers:

“I dont [sic] dislike Doris Burke because shes [sic] a woman. I dislike her because her droning dull voice drills directly into my skull like a lobotomy.”

Look. @NotBillWalton doesn’t hate the groundbreaking female sportscaster Doris Burke because she’s a female. It’s just that the mere sound of her voice causes him physical agony. Shut up while I’m watching my sports, woman!

The fact is that @NotBillWalton tweets are often notably misogynist messages. I had to unfollow the account myself after feeling offended more than once by what seemed like plain nastiness. Here are just a few selected recent fuck-yous to women from that classy account.

Theme: Loathsome morons! Women don’t just suck at announcing basketball, they suck at playing it, too!

“The monotonous repetition of the Doodle Jump commercial can only be matched by the awful droning of Doris Burke’s loathsome commentating.”

The WNBA tips off soon! I pray that ESPN will send Doris Burke to empty arenas all over the land to commentate their layup filled games.

Lakers have 4 women to blame for their demise: Pau Gasol’s girlfriend, Vanessa Bryant, Metta World Peace’s psychiatrist, and Andrew Bynum.

Vanessa Bryant was seen outsite the Lakers locker room. I guess she couldnt wait for Kobe to send that check in the mail. What a shake down!

Kobe looked like he was only going at half speed tonight. We all know where the other half went. Vanessa Bryant strikes again!
